The color is an intense garnet red. The nose is robust and open, with smoky and fruity aromas. On swirling, red fruits (black currant, cherry, and bilberry) dominate. A lively attack on the palate, with robust, well-rounded aromas of fruit and licorice. Tannins are well structured, clearly present, and well blended. The finish is long, embellished with intense notes of licorice. Tasting temperature: 60°-64°F.
