Château Beaulieu - PGA Domaines
Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence

The vineyards of Beaulieu, nestled in the crater of the Provence's only volcano, the Trévaresse, have thrived for more than 2,000 years. With 370 acres of vines planted in the heart of this inactive volcano at an altitude of 1,150 feet, Château Beaulieu is one of the most expansive domaines in the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation.

The domaine faces the renowned Provencal region of the Lubéron and overlooks the Durance Valley, the Abbey of Silvacane, and the Roque d'Anthéron. It offers a diversified terroir well-suited to vine growing. The hillsides here have three exposures: north, south, and west. A large part of the vineyard is planted on volcanic soil, characterized by the presence of basalt. The estate produces fresh, smooth, well-balanced roses that reflect the unique terroir.

PGA Domaines is a company with a clear vision of the renaissance so needed in the French wine industry. We provide a viticulture that combines tradition and know-how using modern wine production techniques, yet remains deeply rooted in the terroir. In the heart of historic Provence, PGA Domaines manages three vineyards that cover nearly 500 acres of vines in Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence, and a wine trading company. The vineyards are Château Beaulieu, Château des Gavelles, and Clos des 3 Sources.
