Facing the Mediterranean Sea, dotted with palm trees, and nestled within a small pine forest, Chateau Sainte Marguerite is a hidden sanctuary occupying 124 acres in the terroir of La Londe Les Maures. Situated between Toulon and Saint Tropez, this seaside village is gifted with exceptional climatic conditions and great soil for the production of fine, subtle, authentic wines.
Château Sainte Marguerite was created in 1929 on the site of an old farmhouse and on land cultivated since antiquity. In 1955, under the leadership of André Chevillon, the domaine obtained Cru Classé classification, a distinction that officially recognized the estate for its high standard of quality and authenticity.
In 1977, Brigitte and Jean-Pierre Fayard acquired Château Sainte Marguerite in a fundraiser for the Foundation of France (la Fondation de France). The sale would finance a musical prize in the name of the former owner. Today, the Fayard family passionately continues its search of excellence, creating wines recognized around the world. |
